Please take a moment to include Patrolman Gerald R. Williams in your thoughts today.
Patrolman Williams was killed December 16, 1967 while assisting two motorists near Rocky Ford on US Highway 50. One motorist was out of gas and the other was stuck in the median. While Williams was walking on the roadway, a vehicle driven by a La Junta man hit him. Williams was transported to a hospital in La Junta and was pronounced dead on arrival.
Williams entered the Patrol November 6, 1961.
